Who we are

PersonalChefApps, LLC (“we,” “us”), part of Personal Chef Apps, operates Personal Chef Finder at https://personalcheffinder.app. Personal Chef Finder is a public directory of personal chefs.

Chef membership, billing, and the recipe and client workspace live on Cookday Recipe Manager (“Cookday”), a related service from the same company. Cookday is the membership portal for chefs. This policy covers Personal Chef Finder. For chef accounts, payments, and data stored in Cookday, see Cookday’s Privacy Policy.

Who this applies to

Households (diners) use this site without an account. You can search for chefs, open public profiles, send a message to a chef, or leave a request when no chefs match your area.

Chefs appear in the directory when they publish a listing. Listing is included with an active Cookday subscription. Sign-in on this site uses the same Cookday account. Account credentials, billing, recipes, clients, and account deletion are handled in Cookday.

Information we collect from diners

When you search, we process the location you choose (such as a ZIP code or approximate coordinates), filters, and related search context so we can show chefs who serve that area.

If you contact a chef through a profile, we collect your name, email, and message (and a consent checkbox) so we can notify that chef. Those messages are used to reply. They are not used for ads.

If no chefs match your search, you may submit a request with your name, email, phone, and details about the service you need. We use that information to follow up and to recruit chefs in your area. We do not sell those requests as advertising lists.

If you write to us from the contact page, we use your name, email, optional phone number, reason, and message to reply. We do not use that correspondence for advertising.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile, rate limits, and technical information such as IP address to reduce spam and abuse on forms.

Information we collect from chefs

If you publish a listing, the profile you choose to make public (such as bio, photos, tags, service areas, and contact options) is shown in the directory.

We store first-party directory metrics on our servers so you can see how diners find your listing — for example search and map impressions, profile views, and contact clicks. This is operational product data for your dashboard, not third-party advertising analytics.

Sign-in uses Neon Auth, which is shared with Cookday. If you use map-only listing checkout on this site, Stripe processes that payment. Membership, billing, and most chef product data otherwise live in Cookday.

How we use information

We use this information to operate the directory, connect diners with chefs, show chefs their listing metrics, understand where demand exists, and keep the service secure. We do not sell diner contact data. We do not upload customer lists to advertising platforms. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising pixels on this site.

Cookies and similar technologies

Personal Chef Finder uses necessary cookies and similar technologies for chef sign-in and security. We do not use optional analytics or marketing cookies on this site. Details are in our Cookie Policy. Cookday has its own cookie settings, described in Cookday’s Cookie Policy.

Service providers

We use service providers to host and operate Personal Chef Finder. They process data on our instructions and only as needed to provide their function. Main providers for this site include:

• Vercel — application hosting
• Neon and Neon Auth — database and authentication (shared with Cookday)
• Mapbox — maps and geocoding
• Stripe — payments when listing checkout is used on this site
• Resend — transactional email
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot checks on forms

Sharing with Cookday

Personal Chef Finderand Cookday are operated by the same company and share infrastructure, including authentication and the database used for chef accounts and listings. Listing access comes from Cookday membership. Profile information you publish here is public. Recipes, clients, menus, invoices, and similar workspace data are stored in Cookday, not on this public directory, and are described in Cookday’s privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

We keep diner form submissions and directory metrics as needed to operate the service and respond to requests. To delete a chef account, use Cookday account settings or follow the instructions in Cookday’s Privacy Policy. To request deletion of diner form data submitted on this site, email privacy@personalchefapps.comwith the subject line “Privacy request.”

International transfers

We are based in the United States. Service providers may process data in the U.S. or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by providers.

Children

Personal Chef Finder is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to restrict certain processing. This site does not use optional analytics or marketing cookies, so there is no cookie banner to accept or reject here.

To exercise rights related to this directory, email privacy@personalchefapps.comwith the subject line “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding. Chef membership and account-deletion requests should go through Cookday.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date. If we later add optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy and ask for consent before those tools run.
